Maxim Ramsteijn Secures P2 in the 2021 PorscheSport Carrera Cup!
The PorscheSport Carrera Cup powered by Simpower Leagues was an exciting seven rounds championship featuring the iRacing Porsche 911 Cup machine. CoRe SimRacing driver Maxim Ramsteijn did show great pace and performance throughout the series while having a fierce battle with privateer Kevin Nielsen, who in the end, secured the championship by 77 points.
With a race win at Imola and several podium position, Maxim was able to be the runner-up of the series finishing the Carrera Cup in P2 : “I was going for the overall win in my second PorscheSport Carrera Cup after finishing in 2nd place last year, but with the increased competition and some misfortunes midway through the season I am proud and happy to finish season 2nd overall. It was great to be able to constantly be in contention for podium finishes. The racing was a little messy at times but overall I had a very enjoyable experience. Having qualifying races for a feature race makes you work just that little bit harder which makes it a great format in my opinion. Looking back at a season with many great battles and fair racing, highlight being the all-race battle with Kevin Nielsen (who rightfully won the championship) at Suzuka.” – Maxim Ramsteijn
