CoRe Wins ARL Truck Series Championship

S.Neumann & P.Stix Secure ARL Truck Series Season 2 Championship!

It was a definitely a new challenge – CoRe hasn’t been really into any type of oval racing on the iRacing platform. But CoRe drivers Pascal Stix and Sven Neumann tried to tackle it – it was the second season of the Apex Racing League Truck Series Championship. Including a playoff format, the top eight drivers freom the first six rounds will have their points reset before a three race shootout to see who will become the new ARL Truck Series Champion. To spice it up – it was the first ARL championship with a playoff format. The top 8 drivers from the first 6 rounds have their points reset to 1000 + any bonus points they had accumulated for podium finishes before having a 3 race shootout to see who can become the second ARL Truck Champion.

The season included a mixture of oval and road tracks and after getting used to a brand new platform of cars on the iRacing service, both CoRe drivers were able to collect very good points and podium finishes in those : Pascal was able to secure a victory at Bristol and podium finishes at Indy as well as in Phoenix, while Sven won the road races at Watkins Glen and Road America. Despite Sven could not join the first race and missed the playoffs, Sven nevertheless helped the team entry to win the championship. Pascal completed the race calendar and finished the series in 2nd in the driver standings. A fantastic result for a first ever CoRe oval series entry!

Pascal summarized the season : “Sven was super fast as well – but sadly missed the first round and therefor could not make it into the playoffs unfortunately. But we won the team champ, so we’re very happy for that! We were able to snatch it away from the competition despite having one less driver and Sven missing that beginning race.”
