CoRe With Top-10 Result At Nürburgring!
The fourth round of the Virtual Racing School iRacing World Championship series was held at the Nürburgring for a six hours race. CoRe SimRacing Orange did compete with Sindre Setsaas and Janne Kiuru behind the wheel. In the other car, CoRe SimRacing Black, Thomas Gibson and Carl Jansson were up to grab valuable points. After a decent qualifying performance and race the teams finished in P7 and P11.
Sindre qualified the Orange car onto 14th position of the grid while Thomas, who did the fast lap for the Black car, was able to start the race from P18, just a couple of rows behind. After the race was green the first couple of turns were well executed by Sindre who gained four positions in the very first lap. Thomas behind was also trying to hold up to the traffic pace and therefor could gain some good positions in his very first stint. While Thomas gave over to Carl after the first two hours, Sindre went for a quadruple run before Janne was about to end their race with a double stint. Carl’s pace was on point when he took over the car. Despite the field was not spread far off and opponents were lurking behind to grab some positions, the CoRe cars were constantly keeping a fine pace to retain their current positions.
After a great quad stint by Sindre, who brought the car into a Top 10 position already, Janne was in for the final run and was able to finish the race in 7th position. On the other hand, Thomas who was on to end the race for CoRe Black after Carl’s double stint, chased down Coanda’s Pashalis Gergis to the line. After a super close ending phase, Thomas finished the long endurance race in 11th position for CoRe Black, just to miss out a great double Top-10 result for the team. With a great result for CoRe SimRacing this round the team looks forward to the next round which will be held at Sebring. The broadcast of this race can be found here.
