CoRe SimRacing announces two new drivers to their member line-up!
After a very competitive pre-qualifying week for the upcoming prestigious and new Sports Car Open Masters & Challenge series starting in July 2021 – CoRe SimRacing is proud to announce two new members to the team who will support CoRe SimRacing in the new VRS and Morphicon sponsored simracing series : Corentin Guinez & Kieran Harrison.
Corentin, a 20 years old (sim) – racing enthusiast from Elbeuf in France, started virtual racing in Project Cars and continued competiting in Assetto Corsa, RaceRoom and finally, iRacing: “Being in a strong and stable structure such as CoRe SimRacing provides me, is giving me the opportunity to get the best results possible, learn from the others drivers in the team and improve in many aspects of my driving. I am looking forward to take part in simracing events with them!”
Kieran, a 21 years old aerospace engineering student at the university of Leeds, is also a huge motorsports and football fan. Kieran started racing on F1 2014 until he switched to iRacing in around 2016 and 2017. Being interested in GT3 cars racing in iRacing, he also joined previous Sports Car Open seasons racing endurance events there. “Joining CoRe Simracing is a huge step for me personally and I have already come to love the atmosphere and dedication of the drivers in the team. It represents a change in attitude from my previous teams. Furthermore, I look forward to improving myself in GT cars by working with the other top drivers in the team. CoRe provides the ideal home for me to develop and truly compete at the top level of simracing.“
Both Guinez and Harrison proved to be successful additions and manpower in the SCO pre-qualifying period and impressed the team by contributing to qualify three CoRe SimRacing entries to the terrific Sports Car Open season in 2021. For the season opener at Hockenheim, Kieran Harrison will share efforts with Sindre Setsaas in the Mercedes AMG GT3 while Corentin Guinez starts in the Ferrari 488 GT3 alongside CoRe SimRacing veteran Janne Kiuru.
